Consort Of The Moon
A communal vocal experience, inspired by the oldest known surviving work of notated music, Hurrian Hymn no.6, co-created by Genevieve Lacey & Erkki Veltheim.
Freya was the lead producer on Consort of The Moon, assisting the artists to develop and deliver the work.
Consort of The Moon is a gathering of tongues; a communal choral ritual that bridges the spaces between day and night, human and creature, self and collective.
This twilight gathering is inspired by the oldest known piece of notated song: Hurrian Hymn no 6. - An Ode to Nikkal, Goddess of Orchards and Consrt of The Moon. The music echoes the call of owls, bats and cicadas - bluring lines between human and animal realms in a nocturnal metamorphosis.
