Freya regularly provides strategic organisational advice, market development, programming, business development / planning consultancy and co-design to a range of Australian arts organisations. These have included Dancenorth, Aphids, Chamber Made, Lucy Guerin Inc, Creative Victoria, The Australian Music Education Board, Na Djinang and The Substation.
Projects & Programs
Freya has designed and delivered programs for organisations and produced one-off presentations, large co-productions, national and international events and tours. She also works on strategic project activity including fundraising (grants, philanthropy, sponsorship); presenter/partner negotiation; project promotion and touring. Independent Artists
Freya works with a small group of independent artists, producing their independent activity in Australia and internationally. She also provides ongoing producing support and advice to numerous other independent artists, both on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis. To discuss your practice, opportunity or challenge, get in touch.
Mentoring & Advocacy
Freya has mentored numerous independent producers and artists both formally and informally. She has provided structured mentoring through the Victorian Independent Producers Initiative, Melbourne Fringe, Theatre Network Australia, Dancehouse and Musica Viva. She also regularly speaks publicly about Independent Producing and has facilitated discussions and activities around independent practice and international and intercultural projects.
