Advocacy for Independent Practice
Freya regularly speaks publicly about practicing independently and has facilitated workshops, discussions and activities around independent producing and, more broadly, independent practice.
Mentoring
Freya has mentored numerous independent producers and artists both formally and informally. She has provided structured mentoring through the Victorian Independent Producers Initiative, Melbourne Fringe, Theatre Network Australia, Dancehouse and Musica Viva.
Research
Alongside colleagues and peers working in Australia and internationally, Freya has initiated producer-led research projects, in particular around intercultural performance making, commissioning and international engagement.
