Freya regularly provides strategic consultancy and thought leadership to Australian arts organisations and government agencies. With expertise in programming, business development / planning, marketing, co-design, market development, grant and program assessment, she brings a strong knowledge of fundraising (grants, philanthropy, sponsorship); presenter/partner negotiation; project promotion and touring. As an ‘outside eye’ and external consultant, she brings visionary thinking alongside a complex understanding of partnerships and ethics.
International Marketplace Consultancy, Engagement & Cultural Diplomacy
Freya is in demand as an international market development expert. Having facilitated the presentation of 100+ performance seasons across 22 countries, she brings significant experience across Asia, North America and Europe, in particular focussing on regional variations in aesthetic, thematic and curatorial practice to build opportunities for meaningful partnerships. Her role on the Planning Team of the Asian Producers Platform provides further context for engagement, collaboration, reciprocity and leadership within the Asia-Pacific region.
Projects & Programs
An excellent negotiator with high level understanding of presenting contexts, including risks, financial opportunities and limitations, marketing and audience, Freya has successfully designed and delivered numerous complex programs and projects. This includes producing one-off presentations, large co-productions, national and international events and tours. Outcomes and clients include Asian Producers Platform Camp; Major Festivals Initiative projects; HOT: New Dance and Performance from Australia (Scotland); Insite Arts / MONA FOMA, Aphids and the Australian Circus and Physical Theatre Association.
